OASSC Club Rules & Guidelines
All registrations will be filled on a first come first paid basis.
Registrations are only considered complete after full payment has been made.
Team Captains:
Know the rules & guidelines OASSC has outlined here for your specific sport.
Ensure that your teammates are aware of these guidelines and rules.
Captain/team member that use non league sanctioned players will default their game(s)
and may be asked to leave the league without refund.
Waivers:
In order to be an approved OASSC player, you must be registered on a
current team roster and must have signed a waiver to play.
Players playing between two leagues must be listed in both leagues
for insurance purposes in order to play in both leagues.
Players
A match is played by two teams, and one player from each team must be a goalkeeper.
The minimum, maximum number of players and roster size are listed below:
Minimum number of players 5
Maximum number of players 7

If a team is short the minimum number of players to play and may have to forfeit a game
player(s) from within the club playing in other divisions can be called up to fill in for the team,
but they must wear their own league supplied jersey even if it is a different colour.
If a team has fewer than five (5) players because one or more players has deliberately left the field of play, the referee is not obliged to stop play and the advantage may be played, but the match must not resume after the ball has gone out of play if a team does not have the minimum number of five (5) players on the field.
Once a league has started it's league schedule there will be No refunds due to default, cancelled or rescheduled games.
No refunds due to injuries.
Weather
Outdoor soccer games are scheduled to play rain or shine, and will not be cancelled due to rain.
In the event that weather conditions make the playing fields unplayable this is determined at the discretion
of the Town of Orangeville, up to 5 pm daily.
When OASSC is notifiied of a field cancellation we will contact the team captains to let them know and they are
to contact their team members.
When possible we will post a notice of cancellation on our main web page.
If the team captains have not heard from a OASSC member, the teams can assume they will be playing.
Fighting:
Will be cause for immediate expulsion for all individuals involved,
whether they are the instigators or retaliating.
Without refund
Alcohol/Smoking:
Is strictly forbidden at all OASSC indoor and outdoor venues.
No drinking of alcoholic beverages by players or spectators.
Players seen drinking during games will be red carded and asked to leave the field.
No smoking of tobacco, cannabis, vaping or e-cigarettes by players or spectators.
Offenders will be asked to leave the the venue.
Emergency Contact List:
All team captains are advised to carry the players emergency contact numbers provided by the league.
In the event of an injury/emergency, these numbers can be used to notify family in case there is medical treatment/attention required.
Captains are also advised to include the following phone numbers.
It will take the guesswork out of situations that are stressful and time sensitive.

Rules of the Game:
For all free kicks, the ball must be stationary when the kick is taken and the kicker must not touch the ball again until it has touched another player. A goal cannot be scored directly from an indirect free kick. The ball is in play when the ball is touched and clearly moves.
First Aid/Blood During Games
Referee's will be supplied with a first aid kit/ice packs which can be used in the event of minor scrapes and bruises.
Player(s) who receive a cut and begin to bleed must leave the playing area immediately and will not be allowed to return to the game until the bleeding has stopped and the wound has been covered.
Game Score/Results:
It will be the responsibility of the referee to keep score and record the goal scorers.
Referee's can text the results to the league or fill out the report your score form online
Equipment & Uniforms:
It is mandatory for all players to wear proper shin guards.
Shin guards must be worn and must provide a “reasonable degree of protection” and be covered by your socks.
Players not wearing the proper equipment will be asked to leave the field.
Team jersey's will be supplied by the league.
You will need shorts, socks, shin guards and appropriate footwear for the surface that you are playing on.
Players will not be allowed to play without a league supplied jersey. (Keepers exempt)
Braces and casts of any kind must be covered with protective material (at referee's discretion)
Fitbit's are allowed but must be covered with a sweat band.
All jewellery must be removed -watches, rings,necklaces,ear rings,those that cannot
removetheir jewellery for religious or medical reasons must tape them down.
Game Ejections:
If a player is ejected from a game by a referee (red card)
that player receives additional one-game suspension the following game.
Incidents are also subject to further discipline pending review.
